ACP co-hosts webinar tomorrow on new accountable care organization model

The webinar is for primary care physicians interested in participating in the new Accountable Care Organization Primary Care Flex Model, a voluntary CMS program that will provide more predictable payments by testing primary care capitation.

ACP will join the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association in hosting a live, member-exclusive webinar with CMS staff on Wednesday, July 17, from 7 to 8 pm ET.

The webinar is for primary care physicians interested in participating in the new Accountable Care Organization Primary Care Flex Model (ACO PC Flex). ACO PC Flex is a voluntary five-year program that will provide more predictable payments by testing primary care capitation within the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP).

During the webinar, CMS staff will:

  • Give an overview of key elements of the model and the request for applications;
  • Address frequently asked questions on common themes; and
  • Participate in a live Q&A.

ACOs defined as "low revenue" are eligible to apply for the new model. ACOs must first apply to the MSSP, then submit a supplemental ACO PC Flex questionnaire by Aug. 1. All primary care practices participating within an ACO, as defined by tax identification numbers, must participate.

Visit the webinar registration page to learn more about the event. For more information on the model, visit the CMS ACO PC FLEX Model webpage.
