ACP advises adults to get an annual flu vaccine and to use that opportunity to discuss with their internist other vaccinations they might need, including Tdap, pneumococcal, human papillomavirus, hepatitis B, and herpes zoster.
August is National Immunization Awareness Month. To help increase immunization rates, ACP offers internists a variety of patient and physician resources about the importance of vaccines, clinical information and guidance, quality improvement projects and opportunities, and resources to help address gaps and increase vaccination rates at the practice level.
