The election of College Officers and Regents will take place by electronic ballot in January 2025 by the voting body of the Board of Regents and Board of Governors. Officers-elect and Regents will take office at the conclusion of the Annual Business Meeting and Town Hall at Internal Medicine Meeting 2025.

2025-2026 Board of Regents Chair-elect, Chair, and ACP President
At its November meeting, the Board of Regents will elect its 2025-2026 Chair-elect. Rebecca Andrews, MD, FACP, current Chair-elect of the Board of Regents, and Jason M. Goldman, MD, FACP, President-elect, will assume office as Chair of the Board of Regents and President, respectively, at the conclusion of the Annual Business Meeting and Town Hall to be held at Internal Medicine Meeting 2025.
2025-2026 Board of Governors Chair and Chair-elect
Roger Khetan, MD, FACP, will take office as Chair of the Board of Governors in April 2025.
Colleen Christmas, MD, FACP, has been elected Chair-elect for the Board of Governors. Dr. Christmas will take office as Chair-elect at the conclusion of Internal Medicine Meeting 2025 and will take office as Chair in April 2026.
Dr. Christmas is Governor for ACP's Maryland Chapter. She has been an FACP since 2010. Dr. Christmas has been active at the local level as a member of her chapter's Governor's Council, Women in Medicine, Health and Public Policy, Chapter Program, and Awards committees. She also created the Wisdom Initiative for Senior Engagement (WISE) to support aging and retiring physicians from the chapter. Under her leadership, the chapter received the Chapter Excellence Award in 2022 (Silver Tier) and 2023 (Gold Tier) and an Evergreen Award in 2024.
On the national level, Dr. Christmas is currently serving as Vice-chair of the Professional Development and Fulfillment Committee and the Publication Committee. Recently, she has served as a Class Representative on the Executive Committee, Board of Governors, and as a member of the Reference Committee for the fall 2023 Board of Governors meeting. Additionally, Dr. Christmas served as an ACP representative for the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention's convening of health care professionals.
Dr. Christmas received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. Dr. Christmas is an associate professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore.
