ACP's identity campaign features internal medicine physicians impacting patient care
Last year, the College launched a multiyear identity brand campaign designed to educate about the breadth, depth, and diversity of our profession. The campaign's goals are to underscore the vital role of internal medicine physicians and the value internal medicine physicians bring to health care.
Our comprehensive webpage offers a host of content to support the campaign. In media outlets and on social media. ACP is recognizing and showcasing the leadership and impact of our profession and the unique roles and attributes of internal medicine physicians. To date, the identity brand campaign elements have been seen over 75 million times.

Ryan Mire Internship Program offers students opportunities
In 2023, ACP welcomed 10 summer interns from colleges across the country to participate in its eight-week immersion on health care career options, including clinical medicine. The Ryan Mire Summer Internship Program offers college juniors with demonstrated interest in medicine, public health, public policy, or health care administration exposure to an array of impactful and inspiring careers, with the goal of fostering diversity in the health care workforce.
The program is named in honor of Ryan Mire, MD, MACP, ACP's President for 2022-2023, who passionately championed that health care is most impactful when workforces represent the populations they serve. Through his leadership and continued commitment to health equity, Dr. Mire advocates that environments that include and welcome diverse perspectives are better equipped to respond to the complex needs of patients served by internal medicine physicians. The students work with ACP staff leaders, as well as learn from ACP members serving in many roles in health care, and participate in site visits at various health care organizations and systems.
