Call for spring 2026 Board of Governors resolutions
The deadline for submitting new resolutions to be heard at the spring 2026 Board of Governors Meeting is Sept. 26, 2025.
Are you concerned about a practice or clinical issue, or do you have an idea you would like to suggest? If so, consider submitting a resolution to your Governor or chapter council.
Initiating a resolution provides ACP members an opportunity to focus attention at the national level on an issue or topic. Participating in the resolutions process allows members to shape College policy that impacts the practice of internal medicine. When drafting a resolution, consider how well it fits within ACP's Mission and Goals. Be sure to use the College's Strategic Priorities for guidance.
Not sure how to begin drafting a resolution? The ACP Board of Governors Resolutions Guide for ACP Members will walk you through the essential steps. The guide covers basics including using ACP's resources to research a topic, drafting resolution copy, and navigating submission.
