ACP, Annals of Internal Medicine host forum on contraception

ACP and Annals of Internal Medicine presented “What Internal Medicine Physicians Need to Know about Contraception” on Wednesday, Sept. 13. The virtual forum featured expert panelists discussing different scenarios for counseling patients of childbearing age about their options for contraception. The forum was moderated by Eileen D. Barrett, MD, MPH, MACP, Chair of ACP's Board of Regents.
The panelists included:
- Eleanor Bimla Schwarz, MD, FACP, a general internal medicine physician and health services researcher at the University of California, San Francisco, whose work centers on harm reduction and health promotion;
- Mindy Sobota, MD, MS, MPhil, FACP, associate professor of medicine and clinician educator at Brown University in Providence, R.I.; and
- Kelly Treder, MD, MPH, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
