Register for ‘Five Days To Friday,’ a multimedia performance about physician mental health

ACP is working with The New Theater of Medicine to use the power of theater and dance to tell a story about a prominent physician and a chief resident in a performance that will be free to ACP members on Saturday, Aug. 21, at 1 p.m. ET.

ACP is working with The New Theater of Medicine to present a special 90-minute online, multimedia performance of “Five Days To Friday” on Saturday, Aug. 21, at 1 p.m. ET. Developed by a team of professional artists and focus groups of physicians, this production uses the power of theater and dance to tell a story about a prominent physician and a chief resident as they attempt to navigate a week of familiar challenges and unseen stressors associated with their work (e.g., gender bias and expectations, mental health stigma, toxic/unsupportive work environments).

Following the performance will be a discussion on the challenges physicians face on the job, as well as on how to identify local and national resources to promote physician well-being and professional fulfillment. The performance is free to all ACP members, and those who attend may claim CME/MOC for participation.

Go to ACP's website to register and learn more about “Five Days To Friday.”
