Submissions wanted for ACP Innovation Challenge 2019: Fostering Partnerships between Physicians and Patients

The event showcases the best and brightest ideas from practicing physicians, fellows, residents, and medical students that have the potential to transform the practice of internal medicine on a national level.

ACP is accepting applications for its fourth “Shark Tank”-style competition, which will be held at Internal Medicine Meeting 2019 in Philadelphia on Saturday, April 13. The event showcases the best and brightest ideas from practicing physicians, fellows, residents, and medical students that have the potential to transform the practice of internal medicine on a national level. Selected finalists will present their projects to a panel of judges in front of a live audience at the meeting. Participation in the ACP Innovation Challenge is open to ACP members only.

A Grand Prize winner will be selected by the judges and awarded $20,000 to support implementation/study of their idea. In addition, an Audience Choice prize of $5,000 will be awarded to a finalist selected during the session by those watching the competition. All finalists will receive complimentary scientific program registration to Internal Medicine Meeting 2019.

This is a great opportunity to reimagine the practice of internal medicine, connect with peers, and build your CV.

The deadline for submitting applications is Nov. 30, 2018. All applicants will be notified whether or not they have been selected for the semifinal round of interviews by Jan. 15, 2019. For more information and to apply, visit ACP's website.
