ACP travel grants available for early-career members

Special consideration will be given to first-time attendees, physicians who serve rural or underserved populations, physicians of diverse backgrounds, and those without a significant source for CME funding.

Need help getting to ACP's Internal Medicine Meeting 2019? The ACP Travel Grants Program is accepting applications for support of $2,000 for up to 20 early-career domestic ACP Members and Fellows to attend ACP's Internal Medicine Meeting 2019, to be held April 11-13 in Philadelphia.

All early-career full members of the College are eligible for the grants, but special consideration will be given to first-time attendees, physicians who serve rural or underserved populations, physicians of diverse backgrounds, and those without a significant source for CME funding.

Applications are due Oct. 15, and applicants should mention whether they provide care to at-risk populations or in rural communities. In addition, applicants must include a brief description of any aspect of their background the selection committee should consider when evaluating them for the grant. Applicants must also compose a 500-word essay explaining why they wish to attend the ACP meeting and how they will use what they learn in caring for patients. Grant recipients will be notified by Nov. 26.
