ACP will offer a free webinar, “Those Forms! Advocating for Patients with Work Disability,” presented by Marianne Cloeren, MD, MPH, FACP. She will introduce the most common forms for work and the disability system that internists face in clinical practice, explain the context and reasons for patient questions, and discuss the importance of carefully reasoned decisions in completing them. Topics will include workers' compensation, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and social security systems.

Dr. Cloeren is an associate professor in the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include the care of patients with work-related or environmental-related illness, the biopsychosocioeconomic risk factors for prolonged work disability, the content and quality of physician/patient communication, return-to-work and workers' compensation policy, and clinical education.

The “Those Forms! Advocating for Patients with Work Disability” webinar is scheduled for June 7, 2018, at 3 p.m. ET, and registration is available online now.
