ACP supports National Obesity Care Week
The campaign launched its Take 5 Challenge to inspire action and encourage productive conversations around comprehensive obesity care in ways that will support patients and change practice.
ACP is a supporting organization of National Obesity Care Week, which takes place Oct. 20 through Nov. 5. The campaign seeks to ignite a national movement to ensure that anyone affected by obesity receives respectful and comprehensive care.
This year, the campaign launched its Take 5 Challenge to inspire action and encourage productive conversations around comprehensive obesity care in ways that will support patients and change practice.
ACP offers several obesity-related patient education resources that can help physicians and patients facilitate communication about obesity, including “Make It Happen! Helpful Ways to Lose Weight,” a detailed self-management guide with everyday tips for leading a healthier life, available in both English and Spanish.
