Correctional health care conference to be held in October

The National Commission on Correctional Health Care will hold its national conference Oct. 15-19, 2011, in Baltimore.

The conference will explore options for effective treatment, education, prevention and research. Preconference seminars will address fundamental topics such as commission standards for jails, prisons, and juvenile facilities. More than 100 presentations on a broad range of subjects will be provided in the areas of medical care, nursing, cost containment, legal issues, mental health services and much more. The conference also will be the test site for the Certified Correctional Health Professional exam. ACP is a supporting organization of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.
