Candidates announced for Board of Governors Chair-elect

David R. Hilden, MD, FACP, and Priya Radhakrishnan, MD, FACP, are seeking election as Chair-elect Designee of the Board of Governors.


David R. Hilden, MD, FACP, and Priya Radhakrishnan, MD, FACP, are seeking election as Chair-elect Designee of the Board of Governors. Governors will cast ballots in September, and the results will be announced mid-October. The candidate who is elected will begin his or her term as Chair-elect at the conclusion of Internal Medicine Meeting 2022 and will take office as Chair in April 2023.

Dr. Hilden is the Governor for ACP's Minnesota Chapter. He has been an FACP since 2006. Dr. Hilden has been active at the local level as a member of his chapter's Health and Public Policy and Scientific Planning committees. He has moderated the state's Doctor's Dilemma competition for several years and was a recipient of the state's Laureate Award. Under his leadership, the chapter received the Chapter Excellence Award in 2019 (Silver Tier) and 2020 (Gold Tier) and Evergreen Awards in 2019 and 2021.

On the national level, Dr. Hilden is currently serving as Vice-chair of the Health and Public Policy Committee, as ACP's representative to the American College of Cardiology Roundtable LDL and Beyond, and as a moderator for the Dismantling Systemic Racism Chapter Leader workshop. Recently, he served as a faculty member of ACP's Global Engagement Seminar in Thailand and ACP's International Program Seminar in Qatar. He also contributed to MKSAP as the expert commentator for the General Internal Medicine module for five different years and has attended multiple national ACP Leadership Days.

Dr. Hilden received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and holds a master's degree in public health. Currently, Dr. Hilden is the vice president of medical affairs and the president of the medical staff at Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis.

Dr. Radhakrishnan is the Governor for ACP's Arizona Chapter. She has been an FACP since 2011. Dr. Radhakrishnan has been active at the local level as a member of her chapter's Annual Program and Advocacy committees. She was also chair of the Awards Committee and the recipient of a Support and Alignment Network Grant, Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative 2017 for QPP-Focused Education. Under her leadership, the chapter received the Chapter Excellence Award in 2019 (Silver Tier) and 2020 (Gold Tier) and a Special Recognition Evergreen Award in 2020.

On a national level, Dr. Radhakrishnan is currently serving on the Chapters Subcommittee and as a representative to the CMS Outpatient Imaging Efficacy Technical Expert Panel. Recently, Dr. Radhakrishnan served as a representative to the American Institute of Neurology Evidence Based Review Workgroup. She has also served as a Practice Transformation Networks Liaison for the Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative grant and has served on the Medical Informatics committee. Dr. Radhakrishnan has also served as a faculty member for the India Chapter's annual meetings.

Dr. Radhakrishnan received her medical degree from Calicut Medical College in Kerala, India. She completed her residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in New York and at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Ill. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and holds an Advance Training Certification in health care. Additionally, she has been selected as a fellow in the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education's Equity Matters Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership Learning Community. Currently, Dr. Radhakrishnan is the chief academic officer and vice president of health equity at HonorHealth in Phoenix.
