In the November/December 2019 ACP Internist, a sentence in the story “New Thinking about Alzheimer's Diagnosis” has been updated at immattersacp.org to clarify when certain drugs are typically prescribed. The updated sentence, which appears in the second paragraph under the heading “Ongoing management,” now reads, “Cholinesterase inhibitors (donepezil, galantamine, and rivastigmine) prevent the breakdown of acetylcholine and are typically prescribed in the early symptomatic stages of Alzheimer's disease.”
